At 24, Anselmo left Brazil. He spent 12 years working abroad at Y&R Lisbon, Madrid and Miami, and Lowe New York.
His work won 77 Cannes Lions, 8 One Show Pencils, as well as CLIO, D&AD, and other awards.
In 2007, Anselmo came back to his homeland to become Chief Creative Officer of Ogilvy Brazil.
In 2010, Ogilvy Brazil became the most awarded agency in the Ogilvy network and Anselmo became a member of Ogilvy's Worldwide Creative Council.
In 2013, the agency won a record of 35 Lions and became Agency of The Year in Cannes for the first time. With Dove “Real Beauty Sketches”, he won the first Titanium Grand Prix for Latin America. The idea was voted The Best Ad of 2013 by Time Magazine.
Recently Anselmo made it to three important lists: The Creativity 50 2013, Business Insider’s The 24 Most Creative People In Advertising Right Now,
and Adweek’s The Top 50 Execs Who Make The Wheels Turn.
Anselmo is also a Co-Founder of DAVID, a new global agency with a Latin heart, with offices in Buenos Aires and São Paulo.
He's married to Camila and has two daughters, Helena and Stella.
