In 2012, The CLIO Awards launched a volunteer program that offered a select group of agency staff unprecedented access to our judging process. Volunteers are nominated by jurors from the previous year, with the final group selected by the CLIO team. The goal of the program is to offer insight into how the CLIO judging process works and present volunteers with the opportunity to network with global creative talent. In addition, as volunteers follow their jury through the entire process, they view a substantial amount of entries from around the globe, which offers inspiration and ideas that can be shared with their creative teams upon their return from judging.

  • "The CLIO volunteer program gave me insight into what and how great creatives judge work in the industry. In addition to truly appreciating the rigorous and surprisingly global CLIO process, the experience rejuvenated my passion and enthusiasm for the industry in general."

    Account Director
    Euro RSCG Worldwide
  • "The CLIO volunteer program was an awesome opportunity! Over the course of a week there were many opportunities to learn and observe the award and judging process. The CLIO team is supportive and engaged in the integrity of the show, and putting forth the best creative representation of the industry. I highly recommend the program to any agency looking to gain insight into the award show system."

  • "Volunteering for Clio judging was an eye-opening experience. Finally the veil of mystery over the jury room was lifted! You quickly learn what work rises to the top, and why. And you make lasting connections with some fabulous people!"

    Michele Corcoran
    Awards Manager
    BBDO New York
  • "To be a part of the Clio judging session was really fantastic. I learned a lot about the technique and the process behind the judging sessions. As I handle awards submissions, it was more than helpful to see how the work is judged and under which circumstances. Additionally I gained an interesting insight into the arguments from the jurors in terms of what kind of work is interesting and why. I had the feeling that we, the Volunteers, were fully involved and respected by both the CLIO team and the jurors, and that makes me very proud. "

    Martina Kersten
    Awards Manager
    TBWA Berlin
  • "I loved hearing Creatives debate the work of their peers. It was a rare sneak peek into their minds."
